Role evaluation/Work level standard assessments

The APS Work Level Standards and Role Evaluation Tool released in 2014 are being used by many agencies to ensure that their positions are appropriately and consistently classified.

We are currently supporting three very different agencies to evaluate positions using the Role Evaluation Tool and Work Level Standards. The expertise of our consultants in using their tool, combined with the public sector experience means we are able to complete role evaluations quickly, accurately and independently.

Our tip for agencies using the tool is to develop comprehensive position descriptions. We have been working with two agencies to develop and refine position descriptions that support a streamlined role evaluation process. The added benefit is that meaningful position descriptions can be used for recruitment processes and feed into performance planning and conversations.
