Applications for the Audrey Fagan Board Traineeship Program close 27 July 2018

Interaction is an advocate of the Audrey Fagan board traineeship program. We recently received the following request which we would like to share:

Dear Canberra Boards and Committees, we’re still looking for more Boards and Committees to sign up to help Canberra’s women prepare for leadership roles via the Audrey Fagan Board Traineeship Program! Please consider this opportunity to take on a trainee, to enhance the diversity of your board and bring fresh ideas and innovation. All resources and support are provided. There is no cost to participating organisations, and no expectation that you will find an ongoing Board position for your trainee after the program ends.

This program provides a great opportunity for your Board and for the Trainee and will encourage participation by people from diverse backgrounds – including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people who identify as having a disability, and people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer. The information sheet and an Expression of Interest form are under the Resources tab at www.diversityregister.act.gov.au

What we need from you:

  • Identify someone from your board prepared to act as a mentor
  • Complete the attached expression of interest form
  • Return your form to diversity@act.gov.au by 27 July

Don’t miss out! Applications close this Friday – 27 July 2018 . Any questions please feel free to contact Tanya Rush (Assistant Manager); phone 02 6207 2552; Office for Women; Community Service Directorate; ACT Government.
