Our Commitment to the Environment

Interaction participated in the Australian Government's Small Business Climate Change Action Initiative in 2008 and, as a result, has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce our energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. These include:

• upgrade and zoning of internal and external lighting
• introduction of recycling
• purchase of carbon offsets

Carbon is one of the most significant contributors to global warming and climate change. Carbon offsets generally remove carbon from the atmosphere through preventative methods like waste recycling. At Interaction, we are supporting renewable energy generation by offsetting our electrical consumption by 100% through ActewAGL's Greenchoice Program. This will assist ActewAGL to create electricity using sustainable and renewable resources, such as wind power, solar, mini-hydro and biomass.
