Performance Management Frameworks and Processes
Interaction can review, design, trial and implement performance appraisal frameworks with a focus on frameworks that build and support a performance feedback culture. Our approach can involve extensive consultation and research to ensure engagement of staff in the process and development of a best practice framework that is contemporary and reflects the operations and culture of the organisation. We can develop all documentation required to support the framework and assist managers and staff make the process meaningful and effective.
Performance Management and Feedback Workshops
Interaction designs and delivers a number of workshops to assist agencies and their staff maximise the benefits of their performance management frameworks. While tailored to each organisation's performance management arrangements the approach we takes focuses on building skills for effective performance discussions. We have developed workshops specifically for managers and staff that include skills for:
• creating and/or contributing to a feedback culture
• two-way performance conversations or exchanges
• setting expectations
• giving, seeking and receiving feedback
• preparing for, and having challenging conversations.
• performance conversations with high performers
• strategies for responding to, and managing underperformance.
We also design and deliver workshop on coaching skills for managers. We have recently designed workshops that incorporate taking a coaching approach to performance discussions.
