She is a Certified Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a Member of the Australian Institute of Management, the Performance Management Institute of Australia, and the Society of Human Resource Management (USA).

Rena holds graduate qualifications in Human Resource Management, Communication and Business Management and is professionally accredited in Team Management Systems (TMS). Rena is currently completing a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAA40104).
