Role evaluation/work level standard assessments

We have assisted several public sector agencies to evaluate APS and SES roles using the APS and SES Role Evaluation Guidelines and Tool.

Our consultants are able to bring their public sector expertise, analytical skills and experience in applying the role evaluation tool and process to conduct objective and accurate assessments.

We can use a number of methodologies to support the process including:

  • Review of comprehensive position descriptions (when available)
  • Interviews with business units
  • Surveying occupants and managers
  • Reviewing other documentation such as business, project or performance plans.

During the information gathering stage we can also develop or refine position descriptions to support the role evaluation process, delivering the added benefit of documentation that can be used for recruitment and performance planning conversations.
