We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO provider 6170) and we deliver four Qualifications for public sector employees primarily in Canberra but can deliver these services to those based elsewhere in Australia:
- Certificate III in Government (PSP30116)
- Certificate IV in Government (PSP40116)
- Diploma of Government (PSP50116)
- Diploma of Project Management (BSB51415).
We work with individuals, small groups of people or agencies in the public sector to design programs that meet their specific needs.
Certificate III in Government PSP30116
The Certificate III in Government allows for the attainment of general competencies for those working in entry level roles in the public sector, with a particular focus on meeting the ethical and legislative requirements of the public service. The certificate contains 13 units of competency. Five of these are mandatory and eight are elective units. It can be delivered to groups of staff in individual agencies or across a number of agencies.
Certificate IV in Government PSP40116
The Certificate IV in Government is a generalist qualification for APS staff working without close supervision and who demonstrate a broad range of skills. The certificate contains 15 individual units. Seven of these are mandatory and eight are elective units. It can be delivered to groups of staff in individual agencies or across a number of agencies.
Diploma of Government PSP50116
The Diploma of Government is a generalist qualification for APS staff moving from mid-range operation positions to advanced operational and management level positions. It provides a high level of expertise and assurance that those undertaking the Diploma are knowledgeable in contemporary government practice and competent in the full range of core government functions.
There are 11 units in total with four core units and seven elective units. Experienced APS staff could expect that they would be able to use documentation of completed work either for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for complete units or as evidence contributing to assessment of competence.
Diploma of Project Management BSB51415
The Diploma of Project Management is a generalist qualification for public sector employees who manage projects.
The Diploma includes 12 individual units, 8eight of these are mandatory and four are elective units. There are a number of ways that we can help an individual gain this qualification:
- attendance and participation in face to face training courses and completion of required assessment tasks
- a support process of recognition of prior learning
- a process of credit transfer of units of competency previously obtained (from any RTO in Australia) that form part of the Diploma of Project Management.
- a combination of the above.
