In 2022, Interaction launched our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan, as endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.

A message from our CEO, Gareth Norman:

I am pleased to be able to present the Interaction Consulting Groups’ Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).

This RAP defines our commitments and dedications to reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian population and it contributes to closing the gap between health, education, and jobs between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the rest of the population.

This plan begins with a deep commitment to building the cultural competency of all members of our organisation. From this cultural competency, we will build on capacity building of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples owned organisations.

The Interaction Consulting Group values and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures and authentically seeks opportunities to increase our participation with, and the representation of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our organisation.

We are extremely honoured to provide equal and equitable employment, education and training opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in, through our commitment to the communities. Through superior service and capacity building, we hope to make a significant and last contribution to reconciliation.

This RAP documents our commitment and outlines our reconciliation initiatives and commits to establishing the governance framework by which we will monitor and drive further opportunities to true and lasting reconciliation.

Our commitment to reconciliation is not just driven by our fundamental duty and responsibility. It is grounded in a deep desire to create a positive culture of diversity and inclusion. To be curious and understand what we don't currently understand, to learn what is there to be taught, to listen and to collaborate authentically and with meaning and purpose. In doing so, we hope to contribute to an Australia that we can all be deeply proud of.

Interaction is deeply grateful to artist, Lani Balzan for sharing her knowledge and connection to country and creating a beautiful Indigenous artwork commissioned for us to symbolise our journey and commitment to reconciliation.
